"A wedding is for a day, a marriage for a lifetime" - this traditional saying is what I am reminded of when I see this poster which depicts an elderly couple in wedding attire. 

The I Still Do @ Nee Soon is an event organized by People's Association and Nee Soon Cares  on the celebration of love 💗💞. The event highlights include a marriage talk, commitment renewal and a special dinner to mark the occasion.

I am guessing this saying may somewhat still be applicable in the modern day. No matter how hectic or stressful it may seem to be, it is still comparatively easier to commit to plan and celebrate a wedding, than to commit to plan and sustain a marriage.

Lasting love and lifelong commitment requires couples to conscientiously manage over a period of time. Thus, such an event will be meaningful for couples who have been married for some time, as well as young couples looking to embark on a long-lasting marriage journey together.

It is a sculpture to commemorate Yishun's heritage and history wit the Pineapple King, Mr. Lim Nee Soon. In the spirit of commemoration, this will be a good spot for a fun couple shot or wefie to add to the celebration of love 💗.
