Hey there! 👋 We are a group of Yishun 'natives'—some of us have lived here since Yishun New Town was first built in 1984, while others have called this place home for over a decade. No matter how long we've been here, one thing is certain—Yishun has become home. ❤️🏡  

With Singapore bouncing back from the pandemic, Yishun is also going through a refreshing transformation - lotsa upcoming re-development and expansion. So, what better time to share about this vibrant town we love? Whether you're a fellow Yishun townsfolk or someone from halfway round the world who is curious about this place, we want to share the gems and slices of life in Yishun with you! 🚀  

Where is Yishun? 🤔📍 

If you’re not familiar, Yishun is a suburban town in the northern part of Singapore. It has a rich history, and you might come across names like Nee Soon, Chong Pang, Chye Kay, and Khatib—all of which are part of Yishun’s story, and we’ll be diving into them soon! 🏘️📜  

The Media vs. The Real Yishun 🎭📰 

Now, if you've ever Googled Yishun (or asked ChatGPT 😉), you might have come across some wild stories—crime, strange incidents, and urban legends. But trust us, the real Yishun is nothing like what the headlines suggest! 🕵️‍♂️❌

The truth? Yishun is full of charm, greenery, and a close-knit community. 🌳🏞️ We feel that Yishun is pretty unique in itself culturally, geographically and historically - our pineapples heritage, the Yishun dam, the Gambas Hot Spring (controversially, I considered it as part of Yishun++ 😉) , Chong Pang Nasi Lemak, Blk 927 Laksa and more! . So, don’t believe everything you read online—come experience it for yourself! 😄 

A Tiny Island with a Big Heart ❤️🌏  

For those not familiar with Singapore, we are a small island nation in Southeast Asia with a population of about 6 million, packed into just 800 sq km! 🏝️ That’s tiny compared to most countries, but we make up for it with rich culture, innovation, and amazing food. 🍜🍍
